Priorities
Americans are paying the highest prices in the world for healthcare. Insurance costs are a burden for many families here in North Dakota. People should not be forced to choose between their health and putting food on the table.
affordable healthcare
human decency
Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Those in positions to protect and serve must do just that or public trust will be lost.
Tax fairness
Profitable corporations and the ultra wealthy need to be paying their fair share. The hard work of regular North Dakotans creates the capital, they should not be alone in carrying the tax burden.
House Republicans are working to raise the age of retirement for our seniors who have worked their whole lives, rather than raise taxes on their ultra wealthy donors. As a Marine, I have always put my country first. In Congress, I will put the seniors of North Dakota first and protect their benefits.
Defending Social Security
Our rural communities have faced closures that create long commutes for school, work, and medical care. We need support for, rather than attacks on, the public schools that are a source of pride and the hub of activity for our small towns.
Support rural communities
Protect democracy
Democracy only works with trust in the system. We need a Congress willing to assert its role as one of the branches of our government in order to check and balance the actions of the other two. Our elected officials should be working on policies that serve the people and not focusing on lining their own pockets.
Indigenous communities are an essential part of the fabric of North Dakota. Our policies should reflect that. Learn more about Trygve’s position.
Empowering Tribal Sovereignty
“North Dakotans have had enough of government for the privileged, by the privileged.
I’m running to represent regular North Dakotans and to bring working class values back to Congress again.”
