BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — Trygve Hammer is once again running for Congress, challenging Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak.

The U.S. House race is the only federal seat North Dakotans will vote on this year. Hammer ran in the House race in 2024 and earlier this month, he received the endorsement from the Dem-NPL party at their convention.

BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — At the party’s state convention earlier this week the Democratic-NPL party formally endorsed Trygve Hammer for North Dakota’s lone U.S. House seat.

On Saturday, following a long day of speeches, voting and cheering, delegates from around North Dakota voted on who the party should endorse to face incumbent Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak in November’s midterm election. An overwhelming majority voted for Trygve Hammer.

North Dakota Democrats endorse several statewide candidates

North Dakota Democrats rallied for a turnaround Saturday, endorsing several candidates for statewide office to take on Republicans in November.

The Democratic-NPL Party endorsed state Sen. Ryan Braunberger of Fargo for secretary of state, Scot Kelsh of Fargo and John Pederson of Mayville for Public Service Commission and Tim Lamb of Grand Forks for attorney general. The party also issued a letter of support for Tracy Foss of Hatton for superintendent of public instruction.
